Permanent entry into the band is not an honour that is bestowed lightly. It requires the candidate to meet all the right criteria and have all the right attributes - looks, talent, personality etc. You know, all the kind of things you have to score out of 10 on one of those on-line dating questionnaires (or so we have been told), and to undergo a gruelling initiation test. What this initiation test is, we are not at liberty to say. We would have said, but someone told us once that mysterious initiation tests make the Freemasons sound sexy, so we figured if it works for them...
We can, however, confirm that he did pass the test. We're not absolutely sure how he did it, because we went round to the pub and left him to it at one point, but he was still alive when we got back, so that's good enough for us. And of course he was given the traditional reward, which, apart ' from joining TrollfesT (as if that wasn't reward enough) is a laminated diploma signed by all the band members and a bottle of champagne. He really liked his diploma as you can see from the photo, but we don't know what he thought of the bottle of champagne because he ran off with it somewhere, and the next time we saw him it was empty. Maybe he poured it down the sink.
All joking aside, Dag is an extraordinarily talented musician, and we are not only delighted to have him join TrollfesT as a permanent member, we are also very proud that he is bringing his considerable skills to our line up. His contribution is a key aspect of the TrollfesT sound and we hope you will all raise a glass with us to welcome him to the band.
By the way, there is no truth to the rumour that our manager was seen rubbing her hands together and saying something about "a few more members and I can get one of those glamour calendar photo shoots set up".

12.08.2010 - TrollfesT will play with Glittertind and Elvarhøi at the STUDiO festival in Oslo, Norway
It's time that we lazy Trolls introduce our upcoming concert together with Glittertind and Elvarhøi at the STUDiO festival. If you know Norwegian enough to understand "Nynorsk" you can read the official statement about this festival here.
So come join us for a nice evening of viking-related music, and be sure to notice that the gig has an early start. The doors open at 19:00. The price for three bands playing this evening is set at a student friendly 50 NOK. No excuse about not affording this one, hehe ;) Be there or be elsewhere!

The T-shirts are available in sizes S, M, L, XL, and you can buy them direct from the band at the extraordinarily worth it price of 15 Euros. That doesn’t include postage, but all you have to do is send us an email telling us what you’d like to order, to shop@trollfest.com and we will let you know how many pennies it will cost to send the lovely merch winging on its way to you. Then you can confirm, and we’ll send you a PayPal money request. Couldn’t be simpler, but we only accept PayPal though.

At long last we are proud to be able to announce a concert in our own country, and what’s more, it’s a concert in TrollfesT’s neck of the woods. Slap bang on our own doorstep in fact. In Oslo, that mystical town that we like to call home! Playing host to TrollfesT’s particular brand of madness will be none other than the Rock In, a place that is often frequented by us Trolls during our drunken sprees. And the icing on top of the cake, or the froth on top of the beer if you prefer, is the date of the event because it’s scheduled to take place on Tuesday 30th March, which makes it a pre-party to the Inferno Festival.
Does it get better than this? Of course it does. This is TrollfesT after all. So if you fancy coming to hear us play and raise a few glasses with us, the first fifty people to give money to the man at the door will be in for a surprise treat - and we’re not saying what it is because it wouldn’t be a surprise then would it! What we can guarantee though is that everyone will be in for a night of substantial quantities of alcohol and True Norwegian Balkan Metal.
To prepare the audience for our madness, we found the band Aspherium for you. Just another reason to join the party, actually!

In case you thought we stopped, we didn't. As a matter of fact we have been busy Trolls and now we have written an entire new
album for you crazy bastards. And as a result we are now entering the studio tomorrow to start the recording!
The album will primarily consist of 9 faboulus new tracks, our most exotic tunes so far. Expect nothing but over the top TrollfesT madness. We will continue updating you on what is going on as we get further into the recording process. Of course Manskow Productions will keep documenting the events as with the other recording sessions, so in the end we will have a new "Making of" to show you.

05.12.2009 - How to ruin a backstage without actually breaking anything?
As you probably know, TrollfesT has had a few trips to countries near and far since my last video update, and as usual I brought my camera along to document the events. First out is a little video from the Rock Harz festival, before we continue with red squares and Mona lisa.
This summer we once again went to Germany to feast on the good and cheap beer they have to offer. A nice tradition indeed, and this time the trip went to Ballenstedt. Besides being a pulsating town with many fields, Lidl, and other exciting sights that didn’t make it to the video, it’s the home of the Rock Harz festival. Our host for the weekend.
After a nice afternoon-concert on the Friday, we had plenty of time for our main agenda. Free beer!! We had a lot of fun and it was a great party, although the cleaning personel might beg to differ. But we did manage to puppy-eye our way back into the festival on Saturday, and made a little festival report for you too.

25.08.2009 - Travel report from the distant and far away land of Switzerland
Everybody say melted cheese
At last, the promised tour diary of Trollfest's trip to Bern is finished.A few months ago we went on a nice long weekend trip to the swiss capitol. Thanks to the effort the nice promotors and their friends made, it really felt like we were just on vacation. We went on sightseeing, museums, tried various swiss cuisine and, of course, tasted swiss beer by the barrels. oh and we played a concert too, which went really well. All in all we had a great time and I hope the people who came to the show and the people we hung out with enjoyed themselves as much as we did.

After finding an old super 8 projector at a flea market and some spare parts on ebay, I finally got a chance to get my super 8 camera up and running again. And what better place to try it out than the picturesque surroundings of Switzerland. The result can be seen in this tour diary.

18.05.2009 - New concert alert and other great news
Second, there's a very proud anouncement to be made: TrollfesT has expanded by two Trolls this week, so now we're a full sixpack of members. We proudly welcome Per Spelemann and Manskow as full members of the band:
...and we think you all should give them a through the roof drunken welcome next time you see them!
Third, we want to have some focus at our gig in Switzerland at Headbangers Ball this weekend. We would like to aim a special thanks to the fantastic crew of Headbangers Ball, the other bands who played and the awesome audience for making our stay, and the gig, off course, such a memorable one!

09.01.2009 - VILLANDEN is here!!!
Not entirely without the usual fuzz from our part, but we've spread it on a larger timeframe. A "making of.." is in the making (of) and will pretty soon be available to mention one of the upcoming treats, so there's no stopping here for us. Our Myspace site har been refined quite the bit and is worth a quick peak. For those of you who haven't been there before it is certainly worth the while, since this and that tend to be quite different between our main website and our official myspace site.
